Who We Are
The Sibley Nature Center exists to create understanding and appreciation of the nature and history of our region through a broad range of educational programs and personal experiences. Since 1987, the center has offered programming to all ages with emphasis on the flora, fauna and natural and human history of the Llano Estacado region, later adding the Trans-Pecos and Edwards Plateau regions. The center is located on approximately 49 acres with trails and shade structures for the community to safely enjoy and learn about their environment.
What We Do
Sibley Nature Center is located on 49 acres at Hogan Park where visitors can enjoy a walk on the well maintained crushed-granite trail system that winds through various habitats native to the Llano Estacado region. Shade structures along the paths allow for a quick break or a morning of bird watching. Throughout the year, Sibley offers free family programming that include professional presentations, hands-on crafts and activities, and guided trail-walks. Sibley has something to offer all those who are interested in science, nature and their own back-yard.
