Family Science Night: Rocking The Earth

Volunteers will help to facilitate a station that will feature either a hands-on experiment, demonstration, or creative activity centered around Geology and the Petroleum Industry. We will be extracting core samples, exploring porosity and permeability, breaking geodes and more!  Please dress comfortably and appropriately (i.e. no short shorts, tank tops, flip-flops, etc).  Volunteers are expected to arrive at 5:30 pm. We will finish the evening around 8:30.  All materials and information will be provided; no experience required. Please check in at the table in the front lobby to get your station assignments.  Please contact the Education Department at 432-683-4403 if you have any questions or concerns.  Volunteer hours count towards Legacy, ECHS, NHS, and more!
