Who We Are
Mission Statement: --The Kelsey Logan Angel Fund exists to brighten the lives of children suffering from cancer. the Kelsey Fund provides gifts for the children and fulfills their special requests.-- The Kelsey Logan Angel Fund has been serving children in the area for 28 years. The Fund was established as a 501(c)(3) non-profit, tax-exempt organization in May 1995. Thousands of children have received gifts. An annual newsletter keeps donors and families updated on the work of the fund. Donors are foundations, groups, churches, clubs, and individuals. There are very few and little expenses to the fund.
What We Do
The Kelsey Fund works through pediatric oncology nurses and child life specialists in cancer centers and hospitals in West Texas, Lubbock and the South Plains, Abilene, parts of Fort Worth, and southeastern New Mexico. Recipients must be between the ages of 0 and 20, and referred by a cancer center, hospital, or clinic. The executive director handles and fulfills requests. Most contact is with hospital personnel, but sometimes with families of the gift recipient. Volunteers include the KLAF board members and interested persons wanting to set up or deliver gifts and light office work. On occasion there is a Christmas Program offered for the children with cancer at that time.
