Who We Are
The mission and vision for MASA is to network animals at the Midland Animal Shelter in order to increase adoptions and reduce euthanasia rates. MASA will pull as many animals as it can from the Midland Animal Shelter and utilize a foster based system to provide temporary homes for the animal(s) until a forever home can be found. Our mission is to make the Midland Animal Shelter a no-kill shelter where every animal has a second chance at a loving home. MASA also strives to educate the public on the importance of spaying and neutering animals. MASA will endeavor to maximize the percentage of its operating budget to directly benefit rescued animals. Fundraising to support this will be achieved through solicitation and acceptance of contributions from individuals and businesses, grant writing, and other methods or events as the Board of Directors of the Organization desire to utilize. The organization is organized exclusively for charitable, religious, educational, and scientific purposes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or corresponding section of any future federal tax code.
What We Do
We are a small foster based rescue who is doing our best to save dogs that would otherwise be euthanized. We started out just networking at our local animal shelter in hopes that they would find fosters or adopters. We are 100% volunteer/foster based rescue and currently have over 75 dogs in our care.
