Who We Are

Yucca Learning is an educational nonprofit organization located in the Permian Basin committed to thoughtful education for a better world. Yucca Learning exists to provide an environment that supports mental, emotional, and physical development through compassionate and thoughtful guidance that spans all seasons of life. We are committed to Dr. Montessori’s vision of a more peaceful world through creating an environment that supports the developmental needs of the whole person. In doing so, we believe their educational experience will cultivate a lifelong love of learning. We nourish the well-being of the whole person through parent, staff, and community education in an effort to help every person find their own special calling in life and feel empowered to step out and change the world. Through education we strive to make the world a better place. We envision a world where individuals support one another in peace with joy, respect, and personal responsibility. A world where individuals have the inner discipline and skill development to collaborate and solve large problems for the betterment of all. A world where freedom and responsibility walk hand-in-hand to guide action. To manifest this vision, we strive to serve the children and parents who are enrolled in Yucca Learning, the staff that supports those families, as well as the greater community that surrounds our small program.

What We Do

Yucca Learning currently provides full time educational programming for 57 children spanning in age from 3 months old to 14 years old across Midland County. Yucca Learning encompasses two distinct programs: Yucca Blossom Montessori and Yucca Studios: An Acton Academy.

Each program focuses on collaborative, experiential learning. In the short term, we seek to create a campus that will allow for high school aged education, after-school hours and summer care programming to better serve working families, and continued enrollment in our existing early childhood and K - 9 classes. We intend to develop new programs that will allow us to serve individuals throughout the full span of life, whether formally enrolled in our full time programming or participating in our community outreach opportunities.
