We are higher education professionals who seek out First Generation students in an effort to help them succeed in their transition from a high school level education including GED students to college life. The First-Gen Department harnesses existing campus knowledge, experience, and resources to better support first-generation students, aiding both retention and achievement.

We reach out to all First Generation students to help provide a smooth transition from high school to higher education and beyond. The First Generation Department harnesses existing campus resources and experience to better support First Generation students aiding both retention and achievement. Programs include the First Generation Initiative, First Generation Club, Ambassador Program, CTE Childcare Initiative, and First Generation Champions.
