Who We Are

We are a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization. We are a charitable organization committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Our mission is to support those in need and create lasting, positive change within our community. Our foundation was established in memory of Steven, a compassionate and selfless individual who tragically lost his life in an automobile accident. Known for his generosity and kind spirit, Steven never hesitated to help others. Inspired by his legacy, we created this organization to carry forward his values and honor his memory. West Texas, a hub for the oilfield industry, has experienced a significant increase in traffic over recent years—leading to a troubling rise in accidents and fatalities. In response, our foundation raises funds to support local first responders with vital equipment and to award scholarships to deserving high school seniors in the region. One of our main fundraising efforts is a sanctioned State Championship Cook-Off (Tried & True Helping Hands Cook Off), which brings the community together in support of these causes. We invite you to explore our website to learn more about our First Responder Donation Program and meet our Scholarship Recipients—both are the heart of our mission. What We Do

We host an annual event now being held in Greenwood (Midland) (with raffles throughout the year) to raise funds to provide equipment to volunteer fire departments and we also provide scholarships to graduating high school seniors from 4 different towns presently. Our mission is to make a difference in others lives by ensuring that our first responders have the much needed equipment to save lives and to help further the education of our nations youth. We are always looking for other likeminded individuals to volunteer their time at our event. As they say, it takes a village. This is especially true for organizations such as ours that have these events to help the communities. If you need volunteer hours, we can sure use your help and are more than willing to help you out with those hours! Most of the hours would be obtained right before, during and right after our event, (setup, clean up and so on). There are also opportunities throughout the year to help us promote our raffles (proceeds go directly to scholarship funds).
