Who We Are
Mission: To recruit, train, and support committed volunteers who are appointed by the court to advocate for the best interest of children in the child welfare system.
In 1990, CASA of West Texas began representing abused children in court as an umbrella agency under Centers for Children and Families. CASA of West Texas became independent in April of 2000. CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) are compassionate adults who monitor the child’s needs are being met while moving through the child welfare system. A CASA volunteer is the child’s voice in court.
What We Do
CASA of West Texas has grown to serve children in 10 counties including Midland, Howard, Martin, Dawson, Gaines, Andrews, Glasscock, Reeves, Pecos and Brewster Counties.
