Sharing Hands: A Respite Experience (SHARE)

Who We Are

Mission: SHARE partners with all members of families raising children with special needs, supporting their efforts to establish and maintain strong and successful families.

Vision: SHARE envisions a world where parents who have children with special needs have access to supportive programs that enable families to experience the joy of their journey.

What We Do

SHARE offers many areas of assistance to families with children with special needs, to include:

  • Offering respite care (a short period of rest or relief) to parents of children with special needs, who are often unable to find quality care;
  • Offering parent support groups to help parents connect with others who share similar experiences and overcome isolation;
  • Offering sibling support groups which provide siblings of special needs children with peer support and information to connect with one another and assist each other to discover new coping techniques;
  • Hosting several holiday celebrations through the year;
  • Lastly, by raising awareness in the communities through our top annual events — the SHARE Walk and the Shooters That Share Clay Shoot.
