Who We Are
Mission: To inspire community investment in our students, teachers, and schools, and to enhance and support the work that makes GISD the preferred district in the region.
The Greenwood ISD Education Foundation is a local grassroots 501(c)3 nonprofit organization formed by a group of business, community and educational leaders dedicated to closing funding gaps and delivering excellence in education to all Greenwood ISD students. The Foundation is supportive of—yet separate from—Greenwood ISD. We provide an avenue for the community and businesses to raise funds to directly impact the education of our children.
What We Do
At Greenwood ISD Education Foundation, we believe that investing in our kids is investing in our future. We aim to galvanize our community to provide additional opportunities for every child in our school district and additional support for our teachers and staff. Join us in making a difference!
- Funding grants for teachers for innovative classroom ideas
- Providing scholarships for high-achieving students and staff seeking to further their education
- Providing support for families of students facing financial hardships or crises
- Completing special projects around the district
