Who We Are
Mission: To serve the homeless and the impoverished population with nourishing meals, warm showers, and a compassionate environment.
In a world where hunger casts its shadow upon countless lives, there exists a beacon of hope, a place where compassion thrives amidst adversity. Welcome to Breaking Bread where the power of nourishment and community converge. Today, we bring you a heartfelt invitation to join us in our mission to alleviate hunger and restore dignity to those in need. At Breaking Bread, we believe that a single meal can be a catalyst for change. It is a humble act, but it carries a profound impact on the lives of countless individuals experiencing homelessness. John (one of our homeless guest) says, Breaking Bread has given me strength when I had none. It’s not just about the food—it’s about the warmth, the sense of belonging, and the hope it brings.
What We Do
Despite the progress made in recent years, our community continues to face significant challenges related to food insecurity. Breaking Bread is feeding on average over 200 meals per day. Including 100 to 150 at dinner, around 20 at lunch, and around 75 hot breakfast delivered to where they are on the street in the mornings. As inflation continues to rise and the cost of purchasing groceries the poverty levels, nutrition deficiencies, and homelessness also continue to climb. Breaking Bread Kitchen aims to continue to address these issues by providing nutritious meals, educational programs, and support services’ to individuals and families in need.
