It is the mission of the I-20 Wildlife Preserve to conserve and maintain the unique urban playa that is within our property. Additionally, we seek to maintain a safe and flourishing recreational space for people and habitat for wildlife. This requires regular maintenance and preserve management.
Land management volunteers are diverse in ability and skills. This group of volunteers will help us with short term projects such as cleaning trash and debris from the preserve and long term projects such as looking at how the water enters the preserve and how to manage it, maintaining the integrity of the habitat that the wildlife depends on, and more. This can be as in depth as providing engineering, construction, maintenance work or a one-day work project to help keep things up to par.
All abilities, talents, skills and interests are welcome! We recognize that a diverse volunteer base allows us to serve more people and make a bigger impact in our community.
