On July 4, the Midland Historical Society will be hosting a special event at the historic Brown-Dorsey home. This event will include tours of the home, refreshments (ice cream, cookies, lemonade, water), historic games on the grounds (horseshoes, washers, etc.). Society members will be dressing in period outfits.
Volunteer duties will include the following: assistance with setup\takedown for the event, serving refreshments, greeting\directing guests, assisting with the various games, or assistance with tours in the home. Specific assignments will be made upon arrival.
Much of the activity will take place outside.
