Midland Memorial Hospital is looking for Adult Volunteers age 18 and above to staff the Information Desk, Surgery Waiting Room, Popcorn Station, Golf Cart Transport, Magazines and Book Delivery, and Gift Shop. Other services include making pillowcases for patients who are in hospital on their birthdays, and other items for the ACE unit.
Shifts are 4 hours once per week. Weekday and evening shifts are available, as well as weekends.
Job Descriptions:
Information Desk: greet visitors and take them to destinations and lookup patient room numbers.
Surgery Waiting Room: staff the surgery waiting room and act as a communication link between waiting families and the operating room techs and doctors.
Gift Shop: staff the gift shop and sell items. Proceeds are returned to the hospital in the form of equipment.
Popcorn Station: run the popcorn machine and sell to guests.
Golf Cart Transport: bring visitors back and forth from the parking lots to the hospital.
Magazine and Book Delivery: stock the waiting rooms with reading material for our guests.
Junior Volunteers: aged 14-18, many of whom are Legacy documented for Midland College
