Basin PBS is excited to announce our second West Texas Heritage Festival: A Fusion of Culture. This Festival will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Centennial Park Midland in Midland, Texas. The concept for a West Texas Heritage Festival evolved from our work on the documentary series, "Midland: Our City, Our Stories." The goal of the festival is to highlight the diversity in our communities while showcasing and educating our communities on the variety of cultures and heritages we have right here in the Permian Basin.
Due to this being a long event, there will be multiple shifts available to volunteer for. If you have any questions about volunteering, please contact Alli Patrick at apatrick@basinpbs.org.
The duties for each shift will be as follows:
First Shift (12PM-3PM):
Help set up tables
Show vendors to their booths
Greeting Festival Attendees
Hospitality Booth
Help with stage area
Kids activity area
Pass out water bottles to vendor’s booths
Clean up trash
Second Shift (3PM-6:30PM):
Hospitality Booth
Help With Stage Area
Kids activity area
Pass out water bottles to vendor’s booths
Help turn it from festival to concert
Clean up trash
Concert Shift (6PM-10PM):
Clean Up Trash
Greeting Concert Attendees
Moving Barricades After Concert
